When you think of musical hits and drug abuse the immediate thought trails to all the great artists who led troublesome paths but made genius music. Exploring this dark hole is band Wanaka in their latest new release entitled Another Spoon.

Artist Wanaka, is known for his indie-folk inspired songs which is always accompanied with his ukulele, allowing his evocative voice to take center stage. Wanaka recently released Another Spoon which specifically discusses the use of heroin and the great artists that have been lost by this demonous drug.

The track features softly performed vocals which allows for a melancholy yet intimate performance. The lyrics topics in particular discuss the escapism that heroin can provide to those who are deeply struggling. Poetically written, even though covering a dark subject this release captures a unique social topic that is perfectly placed within the indie-folk genre.

Another Spoon is now available across all platforms.
