Tia-Brittany’s new album DTF arrives as a confident statement from a Sydney artist whose creative world reaches far beyond the recording studio. Led by the focus single “Don’t Talk Feelings,” the project combines contemporary pop with a cinematic sense of narrative and emotion.
The album was created with acclaimed collaborators John Ho and Daniela Rivera. Rivera’s belief in the project was significant enough that she encouraged Tia-Brittany to pursue Grammy consideration, strengthening the artist’s confidence in the album’s international potential. That sense of ambition is reflected throughout DTF and in the emotional clarity of “Don’t Talk Feelings.”
Tia-Brittany’s life and training have helped shape the depth of her songwriting. Born into a family with English, Irish and Barbadian roots, she has studied music, acting and psychology, while also developing her vocal technique through classical opera training. These influences give her work a distinctive blend of performance, feeling and narrative structure.
The visual side of DTF is also central to the project. Tia-Brittany worked with internationally recognised filmmaker Pauline Chan on the music video, and the two continue to collaborate on an upcoming television series with Geoff Newton. With this album, Tia-Brittany continues to build a creative identity that connects music, screen and lived experience.
