Need some new hard-rocking music in your life? Then you need to know about Last Chance! Coming in hot with their self-titled debut album, ‘Last Chance’, they’re going to blow the roof off with this 10-track album that is all about hard-hitting drums, rocking solos and powerful vocals. An album that will appeal to any rock fan, it’s a project that contains some of rock’s best unearthed gems. You better not miss this!
The album kicks off with ‘Light the Fire’, a track worthy of getting any album started with its rip-roaring sound that gets the blood pumping immediately. Immense music from Dave Baron’s guitars, giving us the first taste of what the song will bring, mixed with Cannata’s drums and the vocals of Frankie Rage, it quickly confirms itself as a stone cold banger. A voice and intensity that matches the lyrics, it’s an introduction that we can more than get on board with.
With the first track pulling us in, we had hopes that the second track would be just as good, and it truly was. Heading into ‘Sick of it All’, a track all about being sick and tired of living through the Covid pandemic, it’s an interesting turn in songwriting. A track written from personal experience and feelings, it shows a versatility that we love and will be sure to keep each track’s lyrics fresh and exciting.
As we head through the rest of the album, it’s clear that they’ve got a signature sound that they’ve become accustomed to, creating a sound that is true to the rock genre but also feels unique and fresh that helps make their music so exciting. Songs on the album such as ‘Human Eyes’, ‘Tough Titty’ and ‘Anything but That’ show us exactly what we loved about ‘Sick of it All’ – songwriting ability that showed the same versatility, rather than just creating out and out rock ballads with lyrics that fit that theme, they can create personal tracks that are conveyed with emotion. While these tracks show a versatility, they still manage to retain what we liked about ‘Light the Fire – rock sensibilities, a kick-ass attitude and talent that rises to surface in each track.
By the end of the album, it’s clear to see that Last Chance are a band that are capable of blowing away listeners with absolute ease. Utilising versatile songwriting mixed with a mastery of the rock genre, they dovetail all music with Rage’s vocals perfectly, while also allowing Cannata’s drums and Baron’s guitar to take centre stage when the song demands. A fluid feel with a hard-rock edge alongside a fantastic songwriting ability, you simply cannot ignore this.
